I use 411 routerboards (AH, U) for our AP’s. Most of the new ones that we put in with a version of 4 or higher on the OS, show occassional outages. We use OpenNMS as a monitoring program and they will pop up and show that they are down. At that point, I cannot telnet to them through the main router on location. I have been on location when this occurs and can actually log onto the AP wirelessly, and get out into the internet, in fact can bring up the OpenNMS to show me that the AP is down, which it really isn’t. Under the main router on location we have all the radios set up with bindings. I go into the binding for the particular radio, disable the binding, enable the binding, then within a few moments, the ‘outage’ clears and I am also able to telnet to the radio. I don’t have this problem with any radios having an OS under 4. All radios are set up the same way, and this occurs at each of my locations. Anyone else seen this and/or have a solution?
