Help setting up EE 4g. on LHG LTE 4G

Hi All,
I am completely new to RouterOS , I have just installed my long distance [down 800m sm fibre] …LHG LTE 4g -rblhgr&rr11e-lte. great fun and games !!
However, the real business begins when i look at the webfig on the Router OS., AND i HAVE NOT GOT A CLUE WHERE TO START,!I
I have my phone [EE 4g ] sim card installed .. , and had to get a mini simcard adapter. adsl here is so bad that I got desperate and installed this system.
Please somebody , tell me how to fill in the quick start page , step by step …it all looks very daunting . I would love to get using some of these 30 gigabytes that I am paying for every month !
Thanks Guys

First, ask ISP what APN must be used. ROS use as defaul APN=internet .
Please discover WinBox, not WebFig.

In default configuration just insert SIM and connected PC should receive internet.

I am also in scotland. don’t worry, we will get you set up.
few information needed:
APN
you can check this on the internet : https://kenstechtips.com/index.php/mobile-internet-apn-settings
user/pass:
in many cases the SIM will register without this.

step by step:

  1. open webfig
  2. find Interfaces on the left, clik
  3. find LTE tab on the top, clik
    4.find LTE APNs, clik
  4. here you can change the default one to match your mobile network

once you have added the APN
6.clik on LTE tab again, then click on the LTE interface , then you will see all the settings on LTE interface. make sure you have selected the frequency band for your mobile operator. in the UK normally you tick band 3 and band 20

that should be it.
at this stage I suggest you change the login password to the Mikrotik and then go to File and make an backup.
other default config on Mikrotik should be good enough for your use

Sorry to hijack this topic. I’m in exactly the same position.
I found the LTE APN and replaced APN with ‘everywhere’ from internet.
i couldn’t see where to add username or password.
i then went to LTEinterface & selected frequency band 3 & 20. but still cant access the internet.
what should i be looking for to see if the router is configured correctly?
hope you can help. many thanks.

Thanks for that. Added user name & password, clicked apply & Ok and still cant ping www.bbc.net.uk (212.58.233.252).
any suggestion where I should go next? Always grateful for your help.

You still not connect to ISP !

APN, PIN, credentials … you sure about them ?
Enable logs topic=lte,
reboot device to grab new logs
in 3minutes uptime do a save logs to file and share them.
/log print file=logs.txt

Hi
Sorry been busy on other things and only just got back to this.
Still not having much success. I’ve rebooted, changed the time and date and tried pinging 212.58.233.252 again and still not replying.
The logs come up:

Any ideas of what to try next?

The simplest method to setup LTE is actually to use quickset. (normally I don’t like quickset)

I would suggest you reset back to the default config, by going to System → Reset Configuration..

Then once it has rebooted, use the quickset page to set up as LTE CPE

Hope that helps
Nick

remember to activate logs !
/system logging add topics=lte

ah yes. thanks very much problem with my sim.
