Help: Setup Extender / Mikrotik / Cisco

Hello all, need some help with extending a WiFi Network signal…

Setup:

  • Mikrotik RouterOS with Hotspot
  • WiFi = Open through Cisco APs
  • Loads external login page through login.html
  • External Radius Server configured and working
  • Accesspoints; Cisco Aironet 1140

I bought a RE2000 (Linksys) and afterwards a Cisco wap121… but I’m not able to set it up correctly, this is what I did / has happened;

  • Within RouterOS I whitelisted the MAC Address of the repeater

  • Repeater; I selected the WiFi to extend

  • Trying to connect to WiFi with my Laptop… it keeps trying for 5-10 min. then fails…

  • Sometimes it shortly connected, but it doesnt load the external Login Page (for Radius Login)

Any idea what I’m doing wrong? Many many thanks for your help in advance!

I am having almost identical problem. Still no solution

I’ve setup the Cisco e2500 in bridge mode.
AutoObtain IP
Wireless Security set to RADIUS
RADIUS SERVER ADDRESS Set to the Mikrotik
SHARED SECRET is the same as the one I set up in Mikrotik USERMAN.

When I connect device to the Cisco wifi signal, instead of the Mikrotik login page coming up, it just asks for an ordinary wifi login as if the Radius did not exist.

Please let me know if you get a solution. - Con G.
