hEX PoE (RB960PGS) Problem after 6.49.4 > 7.1.3 with SFP S-3553LC20D

hEX PoE (RB960PGS) Problem after 6.49.4 > 7.1.3 with SFP

Hello!

We have a hEX PoE (RB960PGS) with 6.49.4 (+ Firmware) running with a pair of S-3553LC20D - other side is RB3011UiAS. Both sides up, both sides show all values … running well without any problems.

Then we ran the Update on both sides. RB3011UiAS is ok with 1310.00 nm. But RB960PGS has

(1) no values

[admin@MikroTik] > /interface ethernet monitor sfp1

(2) the Link is up, bit toggels from time to time.

Is S-3553LC20D not completely compatible with 7.1.3 - no tested jet but RouterOS is stable ?

Flash File Space is 24% used (what ever is on it, not shown) and the rest of 16 Mbit is not enought to step back to 6.49.4 - location is not on our side … How can we solve?

Please help,
Grüße Stefan

No idea about SFP module misbehaviour.

Re downgrade: it should be possible to downgrade ROS following this procedure:

  1. copy appropriate .npk file (e.g. routeros-mipsbe-6.49.4.npk) to files section.
Make sure you don’t push it to flash/ directory, leave it in root directory. On devices with small flash disk, but decent RAM size, root of file storage is actually RAM disk
  2. execute /system/package/downgrade
  3. reboot device

Essentially follow the instructions for downgrading ROS … the essential thing is to leave npk file in root of file storage (i.e. in RAM disk).

Hello!

We will try to roll back. I’ll give you a feed back about it …

To Mikrotik Bug Report:
We have rebuilt the setup in our lab.
This behaviour is everytime the same on different Harwdare: SFP S-3553LC20D is not working with 7.1.3 !

Grüße Stefan

Rollback done.

SFP S-3553LC20D works NOT on 7.1.3 with

exemplary:
960PGS
CRS112-8P-4S

but with 6.49.4 again !
