Hidden Node Handling in LHG / 802.11AX Clients

With the new LHG 802.11AX client units coming, is there a solution in place for handling the hidden node issue in long-range PTMP setups?

Since AX still relies on CSMA/CA and OFDMA uplink coordination breaks down over distance, will there be:

• An updated TDMA-like protocol?
• Changes to NV2 to support AX?
• Any AX-specific features in RouterOS to mitigate hidden nodes?

Just trying to understand how AX will work in real-world WISP scenarios with clients that can’t hear each other.

Thanks!

Isaac

We operate a large ISP and have been waiting on some clarification on this too.
