HOTSPOT:IP Active User does not correspond to IP of pc

Hi,

Not sure this is the right place to ask my question:

I did set up a hotspot. I’m now connected to it with 2 different laptops.

The RouterOS (IP->Hotspot->Active) shows me following IP’s are connected to my hotspot:
192.168.88.252
192.168.88.248

When i look up my IP address on the PC (run ->cmd → IPconfig) i get respectively:
192.168.88.253
192.168.88.249

Note that the last number of the IP address = the last number of the IP address on routerOS + 1
253 = 252+1

How is this possible?
I checked the MAC-adressess so I’m sure about the devices using the hotspot.

Thanks!!!

Look in “/ip hotspot host”. That shows the hotspot NAT results. The address is what the PC is assigned. The to-address is the dhcp issued ip to that device. The router sees only the to-address. The hotspot uses arp poisoning to intercept the devices requests on the hotspot localnet.

To disable the NAT, use this.

/ip hotspot host
set 0 address-pool=none
