Hotspot - MAC OS X and IOS captive portal is blocking walledgarden addresses

We have this hotspot page for users login, and that works fine to windows or Android devices, but with Apple devices when the automatic browser open all pages and ips inside walled garden are blocked, if we just close the automatic browser window without make the login then we can comunicate with that pages or ip’s from walled garden.

We tried to put whe address “apple.com” on walled garden but when we do this the automatic portal doesn’t open, and the business here need that.

we tried to talk with mikrotik support, but they just dont care, so… :frowning:

Someone has some ideia what we have to do to this works on Apple devices?

For fix this problem just rename your hotspot domain to example: company.pt
Do not use .local

Apple device checks if you have an internet connection, and if you don’t have it, it offers you to log into the Hotspot.

Everything in this mechanism involves connection to actual internet services, so you will not be able to stop Apple from asking for a login. It just needs to access iCloud, Push services and other. What is the problem with logging in, when the popup appears?

Hi Normis, i appreciate your help!
Theres a business requeriment, because only already registered customers in that third party systems it’s allowed to join Wi-Fi connection, because of this
We need to access 2 internet services before user execute the login, so when the pop-up comes up that 2 services connectiions are blocked, and that 2 mentioned services is already configured on walled garden.

Hi ErfanDL, thank you for the tip! we’ll try this

We try to change the domain still not working :frowning:
