Hotspot / Radius authentication problem

Hello

The RADIUS server is operational and responds correctly to requests.

However, the MikroTik CCR1009-7G-1C-1S+ router, V7.20.6, regularly loses connection with this server, which prevents users from connecting.

Intermittently, some users manage to connect to the same router with the same configuration, then are disconnected soon after. Following this disconnection, the captive portal appears again.

The system in place is a Hotspot, where several MikroTik routers are connected to the same RADIUS server with the same credentials.

Routers do not have public IP addresses; they access the Internet through an operator, and use this connection to communicate with the RADIUS server hosted in the cloud to authenticate users.

Despite an Idle Timeout set to 3600 seconds, users are disconnected prematurely or sometimes cannot connect at all.

I would like to understand the possible causes of these disconnections and the reasons why the sessions are not maintained properly

Please help me.

Sincerely,

Duhamel

had an almost the same issue . I dont know if its a bug or there is an error in my config

Hi, I don't know if you were able to manage it, but I increased the idle timeout to 24 hours. For now, it's working, and I've also trained clients to log in manually using their MAC address in case the portal page appears.
