How do you change wlan1 from slave?

I am trying to setup my Mikrotik to get internet from another wireless network and create its own network. I have been following along with this walkthrough, which talks about how to do just that. However, I need the wlan to not be a slave interface, so I can setup the DHCP client. How do I do that?

That is an old video, the wireless-rep package doesn’t exist in recent versions of RouterOS.
