How to configure USB port for adapter USB<->4 Port Serial

Hello ALL,

I would like to make console switch from Router 750UP.
Current version OS 5.25

I want attach USB-to-Port Serial adapter to USB port of Router.
There are 4 serial ports in adapter.

USB 2.0 ↔ 4 Serial ports.
Model: STLAB U-400

I attached this adapter but have no idea how to setup it.

No any info in port.

[admin@MikroTik] /port> print
Flags: I - inactive

NAME CHANNELS USED-BY BAUD-RATE

[admin@MikroTik] /port>

I see only that appeared point 1 in unit /system/resource/usb
Power LED is blinking on adapter.
And thats all.

[admin@MikroTik] /system resource usb> print

DEVICE VENDOR NAME SPEED

0 1:1 RB400 EHCI 480 Mbps
1 1:2 480 Mbps
[admin@MikroTik] /system resource usb>

So what should I do to configure USB port in order I could see 4 Serial ports ?

Why 4 serial ports? i don’t think that this device is compatible
This one is compatible with routerboards

Hello plisken.

I want make console server.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxx|—> Serial port 1 → console port Cisco router 1
xxxxxxxxxxxxxx|—> Serial port 2 → console port Cisco router 2
Mikrotik → USB → Serial port 3 → console port Cisco router 3
xxxxxxxxxxxxxx|—> Serial port 4 → console port Cisco router 4

The main idea is to have console access for routers via LAN.

As I understand already there is only one adapter that compaiteble with Mikrotik according this doc:
http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Supported_Hardware#USB_serial_adapters

USB U209-000-R Serial-Port

Another idea is to attach USB hub (1USB to 4 USB ports) and then use compatiable adapter “USB to Serail”.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxx|-------> USB port 1 → USB to Serial adapter 1 → console port Cisco router 1
xxxxxxxxxxxxxx|-------> USB port 2 → USB to Serial adapter 2 → console port Cisco router 2
Mikrotik → USB hub → USB port 3 → USB to Serial adapter 3 → console port Cisco router 3
xxxxxxxxxxxxxx|-------> USB port 4 → USB to Serial adapter 4 → console port Cisco router 4
