How to factory default hAP ax lite LTE6?

Hello,

i have some trouble with a new hap lte6,
for some reason it stopped working, so its unreachable, no wifi … not sure why

i tried to factory reset it

but it does not work. there is no wifi and its not possible to connect via lan port
i also tried to use netinstaller-method, but the device does not appear.

what is wrong?

For netinstall:
press reset just after applying power and keep it pressed until it appears in netinstall window.

Reset button
RouterBOOT reset button has the following functions. Press the button and apply the power, then:

Release the button when the green LED starts flashing, to reset the RouterOS configuration to defaults.
Keep holding for 5 more seconds, the LED turns solid, release now to turn on CAPs mode (total 10 seconds).
Release the button after the LED is no longer lit (~20 seconds) to cause a device to look for Netinstall servers (required for reinstalling RouterOS over the network).
Regardless of the above option used, the system will load the backup RouterBOOT loader if the button is pressed before power is applied to the device. Useful for RouterBOOT debugging and recovery.

Already tried that.

The device just loops forever.
It never appears in netinstall window.

If i set the bootp ip in netinstall to the interface ip of the computer, netinstall crashes after a while.
I saw some videos where people uses the same ip as the pc, but the tutorial says it should be another, so i use same settings shown in tutorial, but no luck. never appears, just reboots forever.

not sure why mikrotik make it so complicated to reset a device.

And you did follow all mentioned steps ?

Assuming you use Windows:

  • only 1 (ONE !) network interface active on your computer. Disable all the rest.
  • static IP configured ip=192.18.88.2 / gw=192.168.88.1 / subnet=255.255.255.0
  • no firewall on your device which can block in/out for netinstall ?
  • ethernet cable connected to ether1 on AX Lite LTE
    (some have more success using a stupid switch in between device and computer)

Personal remark:
I have a lot more success using Linux for netinstall.
