how to find connection and log with port

Hi,
i need to log connection to determinate port and log, for control my users

packet sniffing?

Do you need to analyze traffic to troubleshoot, or do you need to log user’s traffic?

Torch for the former, IP accounting or traffic flow for the latter. Or run a logging proxy if you just need web traffic.
