Huawei ME909s-120 issues

Hi,

I’m trying to get Huawei me909s-120 mPCIe-modem working with rb953GS-5HnT. RB953 is no recognizing it as LTE interface. Tried with different ROS and fw versions with no luck. It is however listed as supported hw in http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Supported_Hardware.

Huawei me909u-521 is identified as lte and it works.
Sierra MC7710 is identified as lte and it works also.
Rb922 card does identify the same me909s-120 modem as lte and works.

So what is the difference between rb922 and rb953 in this sense?

I’d like to get two working modems to rb953, so what are the options? MC7710 is not available anymore and me909u-521 is cat3 only.

Are there any rb953 compatible cat4 LTE modems with European bands widely available? Give me the model and source please!

Or how to get me909s-2120 recognized as ppp interface?

Tnx for any hints,

pete

Hi, did you manage to make it work? I was planning to buy several RB953GS-5HnT-RP with Huawei ME909s-120 mPCIe but after reading your post I’m not sure about it!
Thanks!

Sorry for delay, haven’t checked this forum regulary.
It appears that there is a known bug in older RB921 and RB953 boards, fix is available and MikroTik offered to modify my cards. However since all my cards are in use with workaround combinations I haven’t sent them back. I believe all current and recent cards are modified before dispatching to dealers so it should be safe to buy new ones!

Cool, thanks!!
