It would be nice to have ROS (based on CRS3xx) switch with same form factor to combine with L009 or RB5009 in (10"/19")
rack.

i think is the eternal utopia of a small manageable switch, is not economically feasible
most the time a small manageable switch cost almost the same as a 24 ports
I know that L009 is red and RB5009 is black, so it’s a concept or I’m lost?
Regards.
I like the form factor myself. I think it’s a concept… could only hope for two SFP ports.
If the idea is a switch be lower cost, @chechito is likely right…math gets tough.
Now cost aside… I’d like to see some way to interconnect a few RB5009 via some SFP-only version of RB50xx where you can combine multiple RB5009s together. … and borrow the controller bridge/port extender stuff from CRS3xx so there is only one bridge interface… It be somewhat more than just buying 24+ port switches, but the flexibility might be worth a premium IMO.
Thermal behavior might become a problem on RB5009 case with SFP only ports.

What a nice idea, @5nik!
Would also like to see more models in this form factor. A CRS would really be great.
Thermal design will be a challenge. I‘m using the CRS309 and like the passive cooling enclosure very much in quiet location. But with SFP+ modules, it’s really tricky…
It is an idea and 10 minutes playing in the Gimp with picture of L009
Yes, I know. But it is different form factor (shape) and can’t combine this with x009 in rackmount kit K-79.
Wow really nice. Congratulations! and thanks for clarification.
