I need to combine two lines
The first line is 192.168.100.1
The second line is 192.168.200.1
The gateway is 192.168.1.1
I need it configured so that if either line disconnects or its speed decreases, it disconnects it and switches to the other line

VRRP is not to combine two lines! That is to configure 2 routers to obtain redundancy against a failed router.

What do you exactly mean with "combine two lines"? Is it supposed to use both lines when they both work?

Also, is it only for outgoing traffic or do you have incoming connects (servers at your location) as well?

VRRP is exactly that.

Simply configure both routes to point to the gateway with the same "distance" - in that case both will be used, no preference on the speed etc.

If you really want some help here, you should make a network drawing showing how it is connected, what equipment is in between etc. or else we can't really answer.

VRRP is for setting the "default" route according to specific rules (here, availability of a link).

I would ask two questions:

  1. What "it" is?
  2. How do you want to measure that the speed decreased and is below the "switch to the other" limit without saturating that connection what naturraly means that the speed drops during tests?

karma, the forum will continue to provide useless first posts and trolls, until they take the advice offered years ago to include a first time poster process, which is aimed at education, and ensuring sufficient detail such that the posters issues can be addressed efficiently and those with some spare time to help can do so with minimal angst. Amusing to see an organization founded on process and engineering completely ignore such principles when it comes to helping users......... Its called rude, and dismissive.

I am not against new posters given the opportunity to ask an incomplete question but I think they should have the decency to follow the topic and provide additional information when asked. Posting a question and not providing followup for 18 hours is not appropriate.

It is useless to require new posters to provide a fully documented question and at the same time criticise AI writeups.

Clearly you just supported my position. By magic you assumed that posters should conduct a reasonable process................. It does not happen by magic. Did you learn math by magic, or by following rules, and making an effort and by participating in an education process.......
Boggles my mind here, how smart the folks are but lacking in foresight and then not even using hindsight.
