Initial Setup did not work

Hi,
I bought RouterBOARD RB750, and the instructions said that I have to connect the Router into my computer for configuration in Ether 2-5. I did that, and I had no IP address assigned to my computer. I set the IP to static, entered 192.168.88.2 as the IP address, 192.168.88.1 as the default gateway. But, my computer still won’t connect, so I couldn’t perform the initial setup. How can I fix this?
