It is very interessting. When you connect a iPhone or iPad via WiFi QR-Code it works very well. But when you connect a device with SSID und Passwort the GUI ist freezing. What is the Difference between QR-Code scan and manuell login.
Qr codes contain the ssid, authentication type, passphrase, hidden flag.
So what is the difference?
- Maybe the client device is not able to determine/use the correct authentication type by itself.
- Passphrase mistype?
The Passphrase is correct. I tested with a new device without capsman and this works with the same security settings.
Make sure that with all the various places that you can put values in CapsMan that something is not overriding your creds. (I use this gen of CapsMan and 7.22.3 without issue, so it's not a "fundamental flaw").
@Phips76 Wifi QR code from image can be decoded by various tools/web sites, from decoded QR password can be c/p to be sure that is correctly set; also auth type (WPA, WPA2/3…) and hidden flag can to be checked if is correctly set in manual setup as is in QR code. Raw format of Wifi QR code is text: WIFI:T:<auth>;S:<SSID>;P:<password>;H:<hidden>;; (hidden part is optional).
It is suspicious that when CapsMan is used and when using QR code for Wifi setup it connects but for same settings on manual setup not…
