I recently transitioned two of my networks from ROS 6 to 7. Lots of great things I enjoyed, especially two annoying stability problems that just up and disappeared entirely. But I’m getting sandbagged by my iPhone MikroTik app, which is now occasionally presenting me with a WiFi menu containing zero contents, instead of the Wireless menu I know how to deal with and which Winbox still properly shows me.
I understand that the WiFi menu is needed to deal with the sexy qcom radios… the problem is that the app insists on presenting this menu to me for a rather antique RB2011UiAS-2HnD, with a vanilla AR9300 radio, running the stock 7.3.12 wireless package… and I can’t seem to talk it out of doing that.
Seriously, nobody is seeing this except me? I’m seeing it on multiple devices. Just today it happened on an older SXT 2 lite, and I wasn’t able to do anything with it because the menus are all useless. Winbox doesn’t have this problem, only the iOS app.
ROS “7.3.12”? Is it maybe 7.13.2? I noticed this issue using legacy drivers after 7.13 update when wireless package split is introduced, issue is reported in different topics. No updates released for iOS app yet, Android app doesn’t have such issue. iOS app shows only WiFi section, while Android app WiFi and Wireless sections.
Yes, 7.13.2, sorry.
Thanks for letting me know it’s been reported. Guess I will wait for a solution. Meanwhile, fixing wireless problems from the road just got a lot harder.
