Hello everyone, I am trying to get my system to some ipV4 / ipV6 dual stack config. Use case here is that I want to use Matter devices on a home assistant server as Matter seemingly communicates on ipV6 only.
A practical description of the issue: my home assistand server simply looses quite often the connection to some Roomba robots. Sometimes the connection works, but that is a rare occasion.
In the ipV4 world, connections are just fine and stable, everything is reachable as it should be.
What I noticed is that my Home Assistant server for what reason ever does not get any IPV6 address, it even refuses to show it's mac address in the neighbour discovery of the core router. Other matter devices on WiFi - the SSID ending up in the same VLAN 111 - are showing up with their ipV6 link local FE80:something.
I did the setup on the CoreRouter only and did only enable ipV6 on the other devices.
In my Setup, the Mikrotik System is connected to a Fritzbox to route things into the internet. The Fritzbox then forwards the network to my ISP. In the ipV6 tab, I set the port to the Fritzbox to DHCPv6 client and requesting a prefix, I'd get a 2C....[ something], so at least something is happening there.
Then I played with either just the VLAN 111 or my whole Bridge on the CoreRouter getting an IP address, which either could be set to "from pool" or to some "static" using a IPV6 subnet calculator copy-pasting the received prefix in there.
I would expect my Home Assistant server to show up on the ipV6 neighbour discovery with a 2Csomething iPv6 address, as well as my roombas. The roombas just surface with a FE80.... and the server is just gone.
Any ideas where to check?
