Is CCR 1009 will get more and more updates?

Hey!
I’m in an new IT worker in a company that holds CCR1009 router boards.
I saw that you discontinued the promotion of those boards as all the boards from tile architecture.
Are you will continue to release versions for those boards too? Or you will stop?
The company is heading to arm/mipsbe arch based only?
Should I buy new stuff to get updated?
Thanks!

TILE CPUs have been discontinued by the manufacturer of the chip, they can’t make any more with that processor.

Yeah I got it, but do they continue to support it with new firmware updates?

There isn’t any official announcement on how MT intends to support Tilera architecture in the future. But track record shows that MT does support discontinued products in ROS for quite a long time after products are being discontinued. If I have to guess: MT will support Tilera architecture in the whole ROS v7 lifetime but they might drop support in v8 if the effort to port Tile architecture to then used linux kernel will proove too high. Guessing again I’d say you’re good for quite a few years to come.
