Is my router OK, or what stands for Quick Set page?

Hello!

I have RB951G-2HnD, with firmware version 5.26. I am quite familiar with command line interface for Linux and with Shell scripting.

I can succesfully change the router’s settings via CLI commands.

But every attempt to change smth. on Quick Set page and press “Aplly configuration” button moves my device into frustration. It becomes inaccessible via SSH or Web interface, it stops it’s DHCP capabilities. Power cycle do not change the things.

After hard reset the device becomes OK.

The change on Quick Set page may be an any change to the options which are presented on the page: SSID change, country change or else. Let’s talk about SSID change, for example. Update button - it works, may be the only exception.

Is this OK, or my device is broken in a some way? What stands for Quick Set page? If I can succesfully change the router’s settings via CLI commands, if I did it, may I use the page or not?

P.S. It seems account’s password can not contain ‘=’ sign as last symbol. May be it can not contain it at all - I did not checked it. If last sign is ‘=’, the system will fail to login the account on my device.

I am not sure what happened in this case, but please first upgrade to the current v6.7 version where QuickSet has many changes and fixes. Maybe the issue will be automatically fixed already.

Thank you! That did the trick.

Upgrade up to RouterOS 6.7 was done as described in Wiki - http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Upgrading_RouterOS#Using_FTP
Quick Set page is now functional at my device.

P.S. If a user have ‘=’ sign at the end of a passphrase it will still be logged in successfully via SSH, but not via Web interface.

Thank you!

Thanks, I have repeated the issue with the password
