Greetings,
My clients cant log in using mac addresses anymore after backhauling with Nanostation M5.
This is how my network is:
My core router is Mikrotik RB1000U with Router OS3.23 with license level 6. I have Ubiguity Rocket5 (5Ghz) Base station connected to a Sector Antena. There is a backhaul of Ubiguity M5 (5ghz)which is connected to Mikrotik RB333 AP attached to an omni antenna(2.4Ghz).
My clients (about 15 clients connecting to this hotspot) have 2.4ghz cpes (Ubiguity nanostation2) which connect to the RB333 omni. Each one of them is suppose to connect as a separate network (user). They get signal and can connect by http chap (username and password) but cant connect by Mac address which most of them were used to before.
What I notice is that when one wants to connect to the network, what I see in the router (rb1000u) is the mac address of the ubiguity M5 (5Ghz) which is the back haul. If I add this mac address in users(allow it to connect by mac), all clients connect with that one mac address as a single network (i cant see the individual mac addresses of the nano2).
Before I had RB1000U with Terrabeam base station (5ghz) and Terrabeam CPE (5ghz) as backhaul and they could connect with mac addresses.
Is there any configuration change that can enable the clients’ mac addresses to work?
Your help will be appreciated.
hear from you soon.
