when im using remote logging for Mikrotik it only allows me to use IP no Domain is allowed.
Could you please make this work.
hostname is not supported because you should never send syslog over the internet. You should be using a VPN to connect to the remote server and send the syslog direct.
Hostnames are useful in internal networks too…
syslog will resolve the hostname and set it.
currently it will not dynamically update.
So the repetitive resolution and setting by script is the only way in this case.
