Hi All,

I am looking at an LTE-LAA solution on 5Ghz. We have RBwAPR-2nD units with Mikrotik LTE cards at the moment, i have read on the supported card list that Sierra Wireless MC7710/MC7700/MC7750 cards are supported. Has any one tried the Sierra Wireless EM7565 or does anyone know of a PCIE card that will work with Mikrotik and LTE-LAA?

For LTE-LAA to work the LTE device itself needs to work with 5GHz spectrum as well - it uses WiFi as another carrier and combines both streams inside device. If one uses two discerete devices (one for LTE and one for WiFi) this mode of operation is not possible because each device is not aware of the other one … the only thing that can be done in such case is to try some form of bonding/load sharing which is quite hard to do with completely independent L3 configurations (different gateways, ..).

Yes i understand that it is 5ghz, the EM7565 card does both LTE and LTE-LAA, my question is will it work in the RBw units at LTE-LAA or not.
