MAC authentication on radius

Hi all,

Today I’m making the MAC authentication on a Free Radius server in all APs and it’s working fine! I don’t use hostspot, just mac authentication.

All my customers have fixed IP address and today I make the simple queues manually on the APs. This is a problem because if a customer change the AP I’ve to delete the old simple queue of one AP and put the new simple queue in another AP.

Is there possible to send the bandwidth control to the mikrotik using radius server? Is it possible? If yes, how can I make this?

Regards,

if you wish to use ‘queue simple’, HotSpot/PPP/DHCP is required for clients.

Hello Fabricio,

You can make ap-tx-limit and ap-rx-limit (works only if the client is also mikrotik) via Mikrotik-Rate-Limit tag in freeradius.
Keep in mind, it will limit the max tx(/rx) of the client, so it will not works as you want if you have multiple clients on one
device

Hopefully, in the future releases, there will be an option also for limiting ip via radius
