MAC ping to local macchine timeout

Hello,
I have a laptop connected to Eth3 of my MK router. From WinBox / IP / ARP List I can see this laptop listed as reachable and ping to the IP but cannot do a MAC Ping (timeout) Can somebody tell me why I can ping the lan IP but not the laptop MAC from WinBox?

ARPping?

There is a separate tab/button for MAC ping in your ARP screenshot:
OK
Cancel
Apply
…
Ping
MAC Ping
…
Torch

But the destination device needs to be another Mikrotik or however have a MAC ping server running.
