I remember back in the days, long long time ago, when I struggled with Ubiq… devices.
For (pre)owners it is a very familiair procedure.

This is a product flaw, the reset button doesn’t get pressed by the plastic tab. You need to pop the case open take out the board and press it that way

Never had this problem.

Generally speaking there are two kinds of small pushbuttons, the "right" kind is flat on the PCB, so when you push it it resists the pressure pushing underneath against the (rather rigid) PCB, and the "wrong" kind (which is normally used on Mikrotik hardware) that is vertical or 90° to the PCB.
This latter kind resists to the pressure by pushing and pulling on the soldered joints.
If too much pressure is used (and this can happen accidentally when trying a reset or a netinstall, as - due also to the plastic tab own resistance - it is not easy to "feel" when the button is pushed) the pushbutton can be slightly moved/get loose and then you need to re-solder it or however get it straight again.
But it is a rare occasion.
In theory it could also happen that a single device has a case (or PCB) with some loose tolerance, but never seen (or heard about) one.

It is also rare that a new user joins the forum just to revive an almost two years thread to just post this kind of info.
