MikroTik CRS418-8P-8G-2S+5axQ2axQ-RM hardware issue?

Hello,

In our company we have encountered a problem with the MikroTik CRS418-8P-8G-2S+5axQ2axQ-RM. We purchased this router in November 2025. It worked without any issues for almost three months. Then one day our customer called us saying they had lost connectivity.

When I arrived on site, the router was continuously rebooting. I replaced it with an older router and took the faulty one back to our office for testing. I wiped the configuration and tested it, but everything seemed to work fine. We therefore sent the router to the service center for diagnostics.

In the meantime we purchased another unit of the same model. I configured it with a similar configuration (with some optimizations). The first router later returned from service with no issues reported. However, the second router then started behaving the same way — it keeps rebooting.

I disconnected all cables and rebooted the router, but it continued rebooting. After leaving it powered off for a few minutes, it started working properly again.

The problem is that we can no longer trust this router model. This behavior is very strange.

Do you have any idea what could be causing this problem? I have already checked the power supply, electricity quality, and temperature logs, but I could not find any issues. We do not use PoE (it is disabled)

Thank you.
