Well, it would expedite the testing of the new feature because now you need to wait 2 releases and then the rollout of new versions all over the network before this becomes usable. Of course we are not rolling out 7.26beta just now. When you release an optional package now for the versions that are current, the beta testers can test the new CMR before it is released as stable.
It would have been nice when I could have installed this at work before my retirement, but as it is now that won't happen. It would also be nice to use in our HAMNET but it will be only after 7.26.1 or 7.26.2 is released, and what if we then immediately find problems or have additional wishes?
When it would be an optional package for 7.24.5 and even better also for 6.49.22 I would start testing next weekend!
