Mikrotik Management for iPhone Available Now

don’t mess ‘webbox’ and ‘new http winbox’ =) it will have all the functions of WinBox

I dont know the details on it. I was just told i cant use it because it breaks stuff. That said where is info on this new webbox?

in will be in a few weeks, in RouterOS v5 beta =)

yes, webbox “breaks” stuff if you use it at the same time with other configuration interfaces. it makes it’s own kind of rules which can override existing rules. if you use Webbox, then use ONLY webbox.

WebFig however is something completely different. It will be the same as using Winbox.

So will Webfig work offline (not connected to the internet)? Will it work on anything prior to RouterOS 5?

Quick question, are you still doing the beta for the iphone? I emailed in my udid number to you from your website and didn’t know if you needed more information. Thanks again for taking the time!!!

I emailed everyone that sent me their UDID. If you did not get an email then I may have not received yours. Go ahead and send it to me again.

I emailed it in just now from your website.

Thanks

Oh yea I already added you to the beta list. I sent you another email on how to use it.

Got it thanks!

Of course, it will work just like winbox, you will only need direct connection to the router. The interface will reside on RouterOS.

Not sure yet about backwards compatibiliity.

Oh ok that makes sense then.

I would like a version for java phones.. Maybe you should think about expanding in the future. This could make scanning alot easier

I don’t consider ‘java phones’ an expansion  more like a downgrade. all new phones, even very cheap ones, have normal web browser.

Any updated status on this project?

I have been testing this app with a lot of different versions and router types. I have had no complaints or problems. Looking forward to additional infrastructure.

I took a break for a bit and never heard anything from my testers. I will be continuing this project very soon.

Then where is my hotspot access through your “improved” web interface? Two of the three sections I require are not available in the new web interface. :frowning:

BTW, I will let you know how the Java “downgrade” into my BlackBerry is going.

come on, even my 99$ nokia can log into hotspot. all phones with regular webbrowser can work fine in hotspot environment, it’s tested because we use it here at mikrotik ourselves

My bad, normis. Maybe I wasn’t clear. Where is the hotspot section in your new web-based software? If you will kindly show me a screenshot of the equivalent CLI “/ip hotspot host” and “/ip hotspot active” from your new web-based software. I could not find it in the menu. :frowning:
