hello
i have a 12 MB Fiber obtic line and im using it in a dorm student and i have 40 users at my network how should i make the user profile speed .. i need the best solution

You have a 12 MB Fiber feed? -or- Do you have a 12 meg feed which uses fiber to your dorm or dorm-building?

If you are trying to limit other people on your network, you have some options.

  • Simple Queues , they can rate-limit up and down bandwidths by IP and or by interface

If you are trying to limit my MAC address, I am not sure but I think it can be done. FYI - In my shop, we use PfSense Captive-Portal to bandwidth limit by MAC address.
