HI guys,

Is it possible to plug a USB keyboard into the USB port of a RB and interact with the router in any way? I’ve plugged in a keyboard and I’ve seen that it detects it correctly as a keyboard so driver’s shouldn’t be a problem. I’ve tried using the port, screen and serial terminal interfaces without success.

I’m wondering if it would be possible to add a USB button that when pressed triggers a specific script for example? The keyboard is just a testing stepping stone.

but where would you see the output? there is no monitor port …

I suppose the idea is to have it trigger a script, e.g. to turn on/off the wifi, shutdown the router, etc.

There are many other options of communication available. The LEDs, the speaker, the sms functionality, sending an email etc.
