MT 2.8.28, hotspot and 2 Senao pcmcia cards

I am running hotspot with 2 of the 2511 ext+ cards (pcmcia). The two cards are bridged (both running as AP). The hotspot is running on the bridge interface. The internet access comes from the ethernet port.

The problem is that I can connect to the ap (either card) and can get decent performance UPLOAD (client up to the MT), but the download is terrible! I am seeing 50k or less in some cases.

Thanks in advance for any information.

How do they run when they are not bridged?

When the bridge is taken off, the cards both exhibit the same behavior. I would think this is a hardware problem, but the RB has been replaced already. It is possible that it is both PC Cards, but seems very unlikely that would be the issue, since both cards are behaving precisely the same. BTW, there is NO traffic on these cards, so it is not traffic related (I’ve tested it that way).

Have you been able to get one card working right as an AP? (the other card not in the RB)

Haven’t tried pulling either card out. This is a remote site, so that is a difficult option to try. If it comes down to that, I will send someone over to do that. I was hoping someone would have seen an issue with 2.8.28 and these radios (driver issue) so that I would know if a fix exists. MT support will be no help unless I upgrade, but this system is running hotspot, and I’d rather not upgrade if I can avoid it.

I have had a simalar problem, that was due to radio problems not drivers or MT. antennas were to close togther and the channels were overlaping
