My settings Reset to factory default every time after reboot the router

Hi

I join this forum today because i am facing a problem with my Mikrotik router that i cant find any solution in Google!

My Router Ver: RB2011UiAS-2HnD

I am using this router from last 6 months without any problem, Last day i reset the router to factory default using Jumper hole because the reset button was not working for me.

So After reset i setup all new configuration via winbox and then reboot the server. Surprise!! Its all New again! I lost my 1 hour work, and then i try to setup just the WLAN and reboot the router, its same.

So Now if i reboot router from Winbox or if i Power off and on the Router It goes to Factory default Configuration every time.

Can you please tell me how to solve it?

Thanks is advance

Hello,

First try to update your firmware and routerboard then try a factory reset from the router ( system reset-configuration ).

Then, try a modification in your router and reboot it.

Regards,

Maybe something is bridging the reset pads on the PCB?

Hi

At first thanks for your message. I did what you tell me but No luck. Its acting same like before. and one Strange thing happened when i try to upgrade the Firmware I saw Upgrade Firmware Version in : 3.08 and Current Firmware Version is 3.10, But When i click on Upgrade The current Firmware Become 3.08. Then I reset the Configuration from System > Reset Configuration and reboot the Router. And then I go the check the Firmware Version It goes back to 3.10 again.

Check the following pic:

I checked, there is noting in There!

Anybody have any solution? I still have the problem. Every time I power off the router, it goes back to factory default setting. And again I have to create all the wlan security profile etc etc from win box .

It’s very frustrating :frowning:

Try to make netinstall.

Maybe the router has a hardware problem?
How did you get into the situation that you needed to reset it?
Was it a configuration mistake or did it develop problems that you did not know a reason for?
