Hi,
I’m a sysadmin within a small provider and I’m a little stuck studying a few optimization options for a MK-based server room.
Here’s the scenario:
-
- servers are all attached to CRS-125 switches with no VLANs
- one CCR router are performing all the routing tasks
What I’m trying to accomplish:
-
- have every server dropped out of its switchport if the NIC’s MAC address doesn’t match the assigned IP
- have all the servers broadcast-isolated with each other but still be able to perform normal L2 operations with each other
- …with a precise exception for a PXE server (but this is a further step I can think about later)
I’ve been testing many setups for weeks (VLANs, port isolation, firewall, IPP…), but still no joy
Can you help me?
Thank you everybody in advance! ![]()
