There is NetInstall tool and there is NetInstall NPK package for RouterOS 7.24 firmware. I know the purpose of the tool, but what is the purpose of NPK package? I can't find documentation about it - Packages - RouterOS - MikroTik Documentation . Release notes only list it as "additional fixes" without any other information.
As you can see at the top of the old documentation page that you linked, help.mikrotik.com/docs is no longer maintained. The new site for documentation has the information about the Netinstall package:

P.S. Nobody reads the top lines these days, especially if they are in bold letters, uppercase letters, red colors, etc. Everyone is used to important stuff being in fine print, somewhere where it is hard to find 
. I think credit card companies, banks, and insurance companies did that to us with their bills, statements, and letters sent in the mail.
Working with the new tool netinstall. I was able to do a netinstall on a CRS309 using a RB5009UPr.
Setting up the package cache and download the packages. I notice that when i reboot the RB5009UPr.
The cache files shown in netinstall are now missing but on the usb drive there still there.
Am I missing something?
