I did a reset on my RB951-G (when I was following blindly a howto…) and now I need an OS install.

I’ve followed these instructions step by step but when the installation process almost finished I got the this error message:
“Installation failed: No response from router, time out”
Could you help me out please?
please use newest netinstall http://download2.mikrotik.com/routeros/6.23/netinstall-6.23.zip
and try one more time again.
Have you disabled the firewall on your PC?
What operating system on your PC?

I could install RouterOS 6.23 with the latest Netinstall 
Though I have one more problem now. I cannot reach the router.
The installation was successful, and I can here the 2 beeps so the booting must have finished without problems.
I’m using Windows 8.0 and the firewalls are down.
Have you connect with ether 1?
If standard configuration you can’t connect with ether1
Connect with ether2 to 5
And how are your IP settings on your PC.
DHCP of static IP in the 192.168.88.x range?

I tried both but still nothing. I didn’t realize at the first time that winbox can connect to the device by MAC address. So I reached it that way and after I set the LAN IP ( which was set to 0.0.0.0 by default ) I had full connectivity.
It’s a bit interesting though that I cannot connect winbox to the router by MAC address now. Only by IP.
Anyway, thank you all for the help!

I am also facing same problem, I cant able to connect my router sxt lite2 from winbox error shows “could not connect to mac id” please tell me how to do reset that device or to apply factory setting.
