I recevied 2 new hap ac3 router/ap and cannot get connected to them.
upon power up all the lights on the front come on solid and never show any other state or activity.
connecting my Ryzen Threadripper with 10Gb network connection to the AP i get no dhcp roll out.
using the WinBox software also nets nothing.
Following the user guide i hold the reset button and plug in power. i hold the button for 5 secs (or even 30) and wait for lights to flash. they never do. they always remain solid.
I routinely work with net boxes and never have this kind of issue.
Am i missing something?

On what Ethernet port do you connect the PC to ?
Port 1 is default config for WAN, and the rest for LAN.
i am aware port 1 is the wan port.
i have tried ports 2-5 with no apparent difference.
Try the "other" bootloader:
hAP Mini reset - #5 by jaclaz
But from what you describe they seem DOA, though It Is unusual that two of them could be dead in the same order/shipment.
I would still try with another computer and another surely working power supply.
This is the only status i ever get. once powered the leds light and never change. even when doing resets they never flash. just constant status once powered.
i have tried them both with 3 different pcs. all the same.
what bothers me is the 5 slashed lights on the left from what i read are the eth ports. these start all on and never change regardless if anything is plugged into the ports or not.
i also have tried different eth cables both cat 6 and 7
as for power supplies these are both new and do the same thing. so unless they both have bad supplies im not inclined to look there.
i have done many internet applicances and ap/routers in my 45+ year in I.T.
this is the first time i cannot get a heartbeat even out of something.
its almost as if the firmware is not booting.
If that you should test to see if the router have any traffic on any port just use Wireshark, or if the routers is totaly ded they should get back to the seller and be reported as DOA.
