haven’t tested beta 3 performence yet (been a little busy, we just finalized the purchase of another WISP a few days ago, we’ll be doubleing our current size and coverage area with the new addition, plus we just put our first SR9 900Mhz cell up a week and a half ago which is doing pretty well, nearly a dozen customers on it already)
if you have a spare PC, and some free time - please install beta 3 with a demo license, and test the basic features. report to us if you find some problems. we still have not received any important bugreports.
I installed it on a SuperMicro Dual P4 Xeon 2.4 Hyper Threader.
I had both CPUs installed, 1GB ram, Hyperthreading active.
Here was the issue:
The router only recognised 3 CPUs.. I can not say if the system posted as 4 CPUs or not, but when the system was rebooted, it recognised all 4 “Cores”..
On a SuperMicro board, I dont have the number at hand, I ave 2x hyper threader CPUs (xeon 2.8) Most of the time they are seen as 2 cups each, sometimes on a cond boot they show as three…
On a Proliant DL140 a single hyper threader (with firmware setiiing set to on… ) allways shows 1 CPU…
