This may solve my problem, but i don’t have a RB5009 to use containers.

You should get a RB5009, it’s a great device

I fully agree, but I am holding out for WiFi 7

Are there any plans to add containers support for CCR series (tile)?

TILE is discontinued

The netPower with UPS seems like a great offering. Nice design.

But yet another newsletter without any LTE/5G products for North America. e.g. I like "hardened" KNOT CAT4, which be a great companion to the netPower at tower/etc... but the EU LTE frequencies are a problem. Since there been no devices with US 5G bands, I keep having to buy elsewhere, despite liking RouterOS and cheaper than Pepwaves we've been force to buy. Maybe the Latvian Santa will come to America one year.

Yea, netPower seems great, but it’s a shame there is no ROS version… Still, very useful device. Saves a lot of trouble as you don’t need separate UPS DC power supply now.

Yeah, sad that the NP8-Lite is based off a CSS610 instead of a CRS310-8G+2S+, necessitating a router as well. But soon as they combine those two (POE/UPS + 2.5G switch), those things will fly off the shelves (in WISP land anyway).

KNOT Embedded LTE4 great

Now waiting for KNOT Embedded 5G

We will be gradually moving towards RouterOS based switches.

I was avoiding SWITCHOS so this is great news, thank you!

This is an exceptional product, it's a shame it only has one door. I think it would be more versatile for industrial automation with two or three doors.

Also, KNOT is designed with two doors, so why is there only one here?

Do I spy a 1-wire interface for the temp sensor on this new netPower?

So does the 24-57V ‘solar’ input on the NetPower apply MPPT to source from the solar panel? Or would it need a seperate MPPT controller?

yes, it’s mentioned in the video, that the device supports battery temperature monitoring. the 1-wire sensor is included in the box with the switch.

no, there is no MPPT in the device.

There are 1-wire sensors for temperature, humidity, light, vibration, digital I/O (switches & relays), barometric pressure… being able to read values from them to use in scripts or fetch from the API would make it possible to use an RB as an environmental monitor, which would be really nifty.
