Nice - quick question on the hAP ac lite. Does this also run on the SMIPS Package like the hAP lite?

Anyone else experiencing high pitch noise coming from mAP Lite when passing traffic?

I have 3 of them with completely different configurations and all 3 produce this high pitch noise.

After a while it becomes rather annoying to the ear :frowning:

Question about mAP lite, those who said about some noise. How loud is this noise? How many centimeters (distance) from your ear can you hear it?

I have it attached on my laptop’s back and I can hear it constantly when passing traffic.
Loudness is somewhat subjective depending on the person. I don’t have any equipment to measure the absolute noise in decibels.

You could say the distance in this use case is about 30-40cm.

16 Mb storage is too small …

Too small for what? hAP as a home AP works fine with this storage.

I have got 5 pieces of hac AC lite here running/configuring the last week (2 already on the table) - no noise at all…

Both with PoE-powering and “direct” powersupply, they are very silent. A little bit too silent - I am missing the beeper … :smiley:

Following up on the noise issue, it seems that the noise is loud when wifi is used.
Without wifi you’d have to put your ear on top of the mAP to hear anything.

Nothing about the release date for hAP AC?

With info from some resselers, hAP AC will be available from 15-th Feb. But i think that will be available for buying from them end of Feb.
