No beeper on HAP AC2

Sucks no beeper on HAP AC2, cheapskates.

Lets be honest though, the only use the beeper really gets is when you’re bored and you want to play the Mario tune?

for me also beeper is a useful tool. these are some examples. i believe there are more.

  1. you know when router finished booting process. (beep, beep-beep)
  2. usage with scripting when you want a beep when an event has occured.
  3. sometimes in high places you cannot see if the router is turned on. but with beeper you can hear it!

I agree.

Too bad.
In my house I have a ZFS storage and a health-checker script which plays an alert song on all MikroTik devices if a disk or pool failes

Play “Ozzy Osbourne - Crazy Train” using the /beep command on MikroTik in living room & kitchen

sudo -u monitoring ssh 192.168.99.12 “/system script run Ozzy_Osbourne_CrazyTrain”
sudo -u monitoring ssh 192.168.99.13 “/system script run Ozzy_Osbourne_CrazyTrain”

Can I solder the beeper myself?
