No wlan interfaces on hAP ac lite

Hi All,

I just purchased THREE RB952Ui-5ac2nD-US devices, and none of them have working wireless out of the box. There are no wlan interfaces. Again, this happens on ALL THREE. No problems setting up everything wired, but I need them for the wireless of course. An intriguing clue is that in System:Resources.PCI, there is an Atheros Communications “unknown device” with device ID 0x0050.

I am on RouterOS 6.37.3, and firmware qca9531L v 3.33.

I would greatly appreciate any help before Christmas arrives! Best regards!

EDIT:

Do you have the the wireless package installed ?

Yes “wireless” is installed. Thanks for the response.

Try to reinstall with netinstall, if it doesn’t help return device to reseller.

To anyone interested, the issue has been resolved. The retailer SIL MICRO on Amazon is apparently selling a batch of units that are defective, and I will be returning them. Do not purchase from them. I acquired another unit from Baltic Networks and had no trouble at all with it. MikroTik support assures me that steps will be or have been taken to avoid this in the future.

Are they somehow to blame for that? Selling clone devices or otherwise faked ones?
If not, I don’t see a reason why one should not purchase there. A defect can happen
and they should have the opportunity to replace the defective units.

Hi, this is not related to fake devices in any way. There are two scenarios - update bug when cm2 wireless package is used and after update wireless has disapeared. In this case netinstall should get wireless back.
2nd scenario - bad unit. please contact reseller and get your replacement.
