Nstreme

Can someone tell what is the Nstreme and for what function?thanks

nstream is a wireless protocol mikrotik proprietary.
it allows fast data exchange and more robust channels, either in point-to-point and in point-to-multipoint.
this protocol have a lot of advanteges.
but it can be used only between mikrotik routers (i.e. from a mikrotik and an ubnt device, you cant use nstream).
now mikrotik try to replace it with NV2, with with mixed success.

NV2 can never replace the Nstreme PTP links.

Nstreme currently does not work for 802.11n cards. It will be Mikrotik somehow? Nstreme is more resistant to interference.

Bump!

Since 5.9 nv2 performs equal or better than nstreme with noise. In very noisy environments still plain 802.11 is better.

so it is not true.

ok I have clients on nanostation and simple antennas that do not support N and B operate in the 2.4 GHz channel to enable Nstreme options for the moment to me is not active Nstreme what to do with prefer to Nstreme options, polling and CSMA which to activate and which not? thanks
