[online traffic control]

Hello Everybody,

I started using MikroTik routers a few weeks ago. We have been running an WISP for quite a while now and the biggest problem that we have is the online traffic usage management. The aim: To kick the users that have reach
their capping or limit them to slower connection.

The problem is that we want to make it work not for a certain NAS we want to make it work for the whole network so no mather which NAS the user logs to he is going to be policed by a central server.

  1. How can we check on the MT how much UP/DOWN traffic has certain user done so far since his login

RADIUS

You cannot check howmuch traffic has been done before the user logs off. I can check all the previous sessions but not the current one. I need to know the current so i can write a script to drop the user or to restrict his bandwidth after he reaches his capping.

Accouunting is supposed to give you such information; search for iterim-update.
