Parent Proxy for hotspot user

i cannot use internet from hotspot , i am able to login in hotspot
any one can guide for the same?

i am not access websites, if i used same proxy in laptop than only i can open web sites

i dont want to use proxy in laptop ,
so kindly guide to setup the same in mikrotik

Have you configured Transparent proxy ,
I don’t remember exactly but you have to do it using squid.conf ‘transparent’ directive and some iptables rules.

ip fire nat
add action=dst-nat chain=dstnat comment="proxy access" disabled=no dst-port=80 protocol=tcp to-addresses=10.10.10.1 to-ports=8080

or configure your server-profile from hotspot (http proxy and http proxy port)

Check your squid’s cache/access log, i guess there’s your clue (perhaps error with acl permission)

now i am able to surf normal sites but not HTTPS site like GMAIL.COM
what to do now ?

http-proxy should redirect only http requests. Do you have any problems with HTTPs, when http-proxy is disabled?

when i disable http-proxy in Mikrotik & use proxy-seeting in laptop i can access https sites also,

when i enable http-proxy in Mikrotik & disable proxy-seeting in laptop i can only access http sites , no https

kindly help me bit more

hello maybe i can help you. i have encountered the same problem.. maybe we can do teamviewer and maybe i can remote config it for.. maybe i can fix..
