So I have a CRS112-8P-4S switch connected to a 192.168.1.1 router which provides access to the internet. The switch have the address 192.168.1.2. Then I have a completely transparent AP which allows internet wirelessly (infact the AP is so transparent that I cannot even ping it, but it allows me to access to 192.168.1.1 and 162.168.1.2). When I connect to this AP I get an IP in the range of 192.168.1.x. Now the strange part: In the switch I have also connected a couple of cameras in a different subnet (192.168.2.x) which I’m unable to access from the wireless internet. What can I do? I can ping those camera from the switch itself (tools > ping), why cannot I do from the outside? I’ve added a NAT rule for 192.168.2.0 but still no luck. I’m using Linux
is there a $0n of a 3itch that can reply?
Send me the units you have ( a good investment for future questions ) and I will be able to duplicate and help.
Otherwise, how the EFFF is somebody supposed to guess how you screwed up the configuration!!!
No wait let me consult the stupid OP configuration database…
OH there it is number 2,345,666.
OP screws up CRS112-8P-4S switch connected to a router with standard IP, and then connected with a transparent AP and has Ip cameras on a different subnet.
Oh this will be easy.
Uh Oh my time is up, please put 25c in the meter otherwise I go poof, but not to worry I will return in 6 months.
