ping & vpn & nat

Hi Guys,

There are two mikrotik routers what i manage for months. One of it is in the office and the other one is used at my home.
Everything was worked fine till last weekend.
Yesterday i realized that cannot connect with vpn nor office and home network, cannot ping them (via dyndns address), and ftp is also unreachable.
But everything is worked from subnetwork. I’ve updated to last (6.35) OS but the problem still exist.

Nothing was changed in the configuration so i haven’t got a clue what could be the reason…???

I suspect the NAT…

Any ideas?

Is it possible that your ISP switched to assigning private IPs instead of public IPs?

I’ve checked it but ISP doesn’t switched it private to public.

Is your dyndns being updated correctly? Check actual ip address vs your dyndns one.

How do you update your dyndns? Mikrotik router script or a ddns client on a PC?

Turn on /ip cloud and use the Mikrotik provided ddns. Does that work?

Both of that (script and cloud) are works…

It seems the problem is in two parts. I’ve managed to talk with my aquintance who’s working at my Internet service provider. He told me that my account’s type has been modified to NAT. It was necessary cause too many client are in these area and the ISP hasn’t got enough IP address. So it sucks…

But the office’s problem still exist :frowning:

Okay, yesterday has been solved the office’s issue too…

And this fault was also by ISP not the router.
