I have some instances where I needed to power cycle an attached unit to a PoE-out port (with power either on ‘forced’ or ‘auto’ mode) and in doing so the whole 750 or omnitik rebooted itself, or crashed (more rare).
I even had a crash once when I just set the ‘forced’ mode into ‘auto’ and the unit rebooted itself…
Have no suppouts of these units because it happens rarely, and when it happens its a surprice and after the reboot the unit has the new settings and runs fine…
it usually happens when both the rb750 or omnitik are not running the same software version… yet. (One has to be the first to be updated…)
I am referring to 6.7 or now even with 6.9
I also have had some instances where the PoE-out port supply of a unit started to alternate after a upgrade of the attached unit… on-off-on-off-on-off etc. etc.
You have to manually power cycle the attached unit to get it back stable. Sometimes several times. And when than also the UP unit itself starts rebooting it drives you crazy, special if more units are attached that now than also are powered down…
It happens rarely but obvious the stability of the software is not 100% yet…
