Port 5000 Security

Hi.

I would like to know regarding the security issues related to the TCP/UDP Port 5000 generally used for uPnP applications and Complex Main(whatever that is) Should we block this port because of the dozens of trojans that use it? or is there a way to detect? or what? coz we can’t expect to follow-up with 200+ clients to make sure they have proper Anti-Virus software. Microsoft submits patches that add to Win Xtra Problems than help. Thx for any response.

i am blocking that port. and many other popular ports, but you have to inform client, that these ports are beeing blovked due to security reasons. if you consider blocking.
